From men with Your hand, O Lord,
From men of the world [these moths of the night] whose portion [of enjoyment] is in this life—idle and vain,
And whose belly You fill with Your treasure;
They are satisfied with children,
And they leave what they have left [of wealth] to their children.
15 
As for me, I shall see Your face in righteousness;
I will be [fully] satisfied when I awake [to find myself] seeing Your likeness.

14 By your hand save me from such people, Lord,
    from those of this world(A) whose reward is in this life.(B)
May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies;
    may their children gorge themselves on it,
    and may there be leftovers(C) for their little ones.

15 As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face;
    when I awake,(D) I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.(E)
