³If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?^(A)

⁴“Behold, all souls are ^(A)Mine;
The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
^(B)The soul who sins shall die.

⁴For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins^(A) is the one who will die.^(B)
