14 [a]He causes the (A)grass to grow for the [b]cattle,
And (B)vegetation for the labor of mankind,
So that [c]they may produce [d]food (C)from the earth,
15 And (D)wine, which makes a human heart cheerful,
(E)So that he makes his face gleam with oil,
And [e]food, which (F)sustains a human heart.
16 The trees of the Lord [f]drink their fill,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17 Where the (G)birds build their nests,
And the (H)stork, whose home is the juniper trees.

18 The high mountains are for the (I)wild goats;
The (J)cliffs are a refuge for the (K)rock hyrax.
19 He made the moon (L)for the seasons;
The (M)sun knows the place of its setting.
20 You (N)appoint darkness and it becomes night,
In which all the (O)animals of the forest [g]prowl about.
21 The (P)young lions roar for their prey
[h]And (Q)seek their food from God.
22 When the sun rises they withdraw,
And they lie down in their (R)dens.
23 A person goes out to (S)his work
And to his labor until evening.
