5 For you have been my hope,(A) Sovereign Lord,
my confidence(B) since my youth.
6 From birth(C) I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.(D)
I will ever praise(E) you.
7 I have become a sign(F) to many;
you are my strong refuge.(G)
8 My mouth(H) is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor(I) all day long.
