Psalm 62
New International Version
Psalm 62[a]
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
1 Truly my soul finds rest(A) in God;(B)
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock(C) and my salvation;(D)
he is my fortress,(E) I will never be shaken.(F)
3 How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall,(G) this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.[b](H)
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;(I)
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.(J)
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;(K)
pour out your hearts to him,(L)
for God is our refuge.

for you to take it as your slave for life?(F)

Acts 16:6-15
New International Version
Paul’s Vision of the Man of Macedonia
6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia(A) and Galatia,(B) having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.(C) 7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus(D) would not allow them to. 8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.(E) 9 During the night Paul had a vision(F) of a man of Macedonia(G) standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the vision, we(H) got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel(I) to them.
Lydia’s Conversion in Philippi
11 From Troas(J) we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day we went on to Neapolis. 12 From there we traveled to Philippi,(K) a Roman colony and the leading city of that district[a] of Macedonia.(L) And we stayed there several days.
13 On the Sabbath(M) we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. 14 One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira(N) named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart(O) to respond to Paul’s message. 15 When she and the members of her household(P) were baptized,(Q) she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

John 12:9-19
New International Version
9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.(A) 10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him(B) many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.(C)
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(D)
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches(E) and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna![a]”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”(G)
14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:
16 At first his disciples did not understand all this.(I) Only after Jesus was glorified(J) did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
17 Now the crowd that was with him(K) when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign,(L) went out to meet him. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”(M)
