Psalm 118:11-18
New International Version
11 They surrounded me(A) on every side,(B)
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,(C)
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;(D)
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.(E)
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.(F)
14 The Lord is my strength(G) and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.(H)
15 Shouts of joy(I) and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand(J) has done mighty things!(K)
16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die(L) but live,
and will proclaim(M) what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened(N) me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.(O)

13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
