³⁰ When you send your Spirit,^(A)
    they are created,
    and you renew the face of the ground.

⁷ I form the light and create darkness,^(A)
    I bring prosperity and create disaster;^(B)
    I, the Lord, do all these things.

⁸ “You heavens above, rain^(C) down my righteousness;^(D)
    let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
    let salvation^(E) spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
    I, the Lord, have created it.

    unfaithful^(B) Daughter Israel?
The Lord will create a new thing^(C) on earth—
    the woman will return to^[a](D) the man.”

    who creates the wind,^(B)
    and who reveals his thoughts^(C) to mankind,
who turns dawn to darkness,
    and treads on the heights of the earth^(D)—
