¹⁶ Therefore I urge you, be ^(A)imitators of me. ¹⁷ For this reason I ^(B)have sent to you ^(C)Timothy, who is my ^(D)beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, ^(E)just as I teach everywhere in every church.

¹⁷ Brothers and sisters, ^(A)join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the ^(B)pattern you have in us.

⁹ As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen ^(A)in me, practice these things, and ^(B)the God of peace will be with you.

² The things ^(A)which you have heard from me in the presence of ^(B)many witnesses, ^(C)entrust these to ^(D)faithful ^[a]people who will be ^(E)able to teach others also.
