^9 (A)Honor the Lord from your wealth,
And from the ^(B)first of all your produce;
¹⁰ Then your ^(C)barns will be filled with plenty,
And your ^(D)vats will overflow with new wine.

⁴ Poor is one who works with ^[a]a lazy hand,
But the ^(A)hand of the diligent makes rich.

²⁴ There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more,
And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in poverty.
²⁵ A ^[a](A)generous person will be ^[b]prosperous,
And one who ^(B)gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty.

²⁸ One who ^(A)trusts in his riches will fall,
But ^(B)the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.

¹¹ One ^(A)who works his land will have plenty of bread,
But one who pursues worthless things lacks ^[a]sense.

¹⁴ A person will be ^(A)satisfied with good by the fruit of his ^[a]words,
And the ^(B)deeds of a person’s hands will return to him.

^27 [a]A lazy person does not ^[b]roast his prey,
But the ^(A)precious possession of a person is diligence.

⁴ The soul of the ^[a]lazy one craves and gets nothing,
But the soul of the diligent is made ^[b]prosperous.
