Judgment on Assyria

²⁴ The Lord of armies has sworn, saying, “Certainly, ^(A)just as I have intended, so it has happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand,

¹⁷ Therefore, I was not vacillating when I intended to do this, was I? Or what I decide, do I decide ^(A)according to the flesh, so that with me there will be ^[a]yes, yes and no, no at the same time?

⁴⁰ because God had ^[a]provided ^(A)something better for us, so that ^(B)apart from us they would not be made perfect.
