Proverbs 20:26-28

New King James Version

²⁶^(A)A wise king sifts out the wicked,
And brings the threshing wheel over them.

²⁷^(B)The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord,
Searching all the ^[a]inner depths of his heart.

²⁸^(C)Mercy and truth preserve the king,
And by ^[b]lovingkindness he upholds his throne.

²⁸Love and faithfulness keep a king safe;
through love^(D) his throne is made secure.^(E)
