Proverbs 1:2-6

New American Standard Bible

² To know ^(A)wisdom and instruction,
To discern the sayings of ^(B)understanding,
³ To ^(C)receive instruction in wise behavior,
^(D)Righteousness, justice, and integrity;
⁴ To give ^(E)prudence to the naive,
To the youth ^(F)knowledge and discretion,
⁵ A wise person will hear and ^(G)increase in learning,
And a ^(H)person of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
⁶ To understand a proverb and a saying,
The words of the wise and their ^(I)riddles.
