Proverbs 17:11-13

English Standard Version

¹¹An evil man seeks only rebellion,
    and ^(A)a cruel messenger will be sent against him.
¹²Let a man meet ^(B)a she-bear robbed of her cubs
    ^(C)rather than a fool in his folly.
¹³If anyone ^(D)returns evil for good,
    ^(E)evil will not depart from his house.
