Proverbs 15:4-6

English Standard Version

⁴^(A)A gentle^[a] tongue is ^(B)a tree of life,
    but ^(C)perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
⁵^(D)A fool ^(E)despises his father's instruction,
    but ^(F)whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
⁶In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
    but trouble befalls the income of the wicked.
