2 From the fruit of a man’s mouth he (A)eats what is good,
But the soul of the treacherous desires (B)violence.
3 The one who (C)guards his mouth keeps his soul;
The one who (D)opens wide his lips [a]comes to ruin.
4 The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing,
But the soul of the diligent is enriched.
