Proverbs 12:26-28
Revised Standard Version
26 A righteous man turns away from evil,[a]
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
27 A slothful man will not catch his prey,[b]
but the diligent man will get precious wealth.[c]
28 In the path of righteousness is life,
but the way of error leads to death.[d]

New International Version
26 The righteous choose their friends carefully,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.(A)
27 The lazy do not roast[a] any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
28 In the way of righteousness there is life;(B)
along that path is immortality.
