Proverbs 1:3-6
English Standard Version
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing,
in (A)righteousness, justice, and equity;
4 to give prudence to (B)the simple,
knowledge and (C)discretion to the youth—
5 Let the wise hear and (D)increase in learning,
and the one who understands obtain guidance,
6 to understand a proverb and a saying,
(E)the words of the wise and their (F)riddles.

3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,[a](A)
knowledge and discretion(B) to the young—
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,(C)
and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,(D)
the sayings and riddles(E) of the wise.[b](F)
