^15 (A)Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. ¹⁶ The latter do it out of love, ^(B)knowing that I am put here for ^(C)the defense of the gospel. ¹⁷ The former proclaim Christ ^(D)out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. ¹⁸ What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.

To Live Is Christ

Yes, and I will rejoice,

³ But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. ^4 (A)For I am not aware of anything against myself, ^(B)but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. ⁵ Therefore ^(C)do not pronounce judgment before the time, ^(D)before the Lord comes, ^(E)who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. ^(F)Then each one will receive his commendation from God.
