15 Therefore, let all of us who are mature think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal(A) this also to you. 16 In any case, we should live up to whatever truth we have attained. 17 Join in imitating me, brothers and sisters, and pay careful attention to those who live according to the example you have in us. 18 For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross(B) of Christ. 19 Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory(C) is in their shame; and they are focused on earthly things. 20 Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. 21 He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious(D) body,(E) by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

Following Paul’s Example

15 All of us, then, who are mature(A) should take such a view of things.(B) And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.(C) 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

17 Join together in following my example,(D) brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.(E) 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears,(F) many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.(G) 19 Their destiny(H) is destruction, their god is their stomach,(I) and their glory is in their shame.(J) Their mind is set on earthly things.(K) 20 But our citizenship(L) is in heaven.(M) And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,(N) 21 who, by the power(O) that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies(P) so that they will be like his glorious body.(Q)
