Psalm 78:35-39

³⁵ And they remembered that God was their ^(A)rock,
And the Most High God their ^(B)Redeemer.
³⁶ But they ^(C)flattered Him with their mouth
And ^(D)lied to Him with their tongue.
³⁷ For their heart was not ^(E)steadfast toward Him,
Nor were they faithful with His covenant.
³⁸ But He, being ^(F)compassionate, ^[a](G)forgave their wrongdoing and did not destroy them;
And often He ^[b](H)restrained His anger
And did not stir up all His wrath.
³⁹ So ^(I)He remembered that they were only ^(J)flesh,
A ^[c](K)wind that passes and does not return.
