³⁸ But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive out of those men who went to spy out the land.

¹⁰ Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house (and in his roof chamber he had windows open ^(A)toward Jerusalem); and he continued ^(B)kneeling on his knees three times a day, ^(C)praying and ^(D)offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

²² And now, behold, bound by the ^[a]Spirit, ^(A)I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, ²³ except that ^(B)the Holy Spirit solemnly ^(C)testifies to me in every city, saying that ^(D)chains and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But ^(E)I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may ^(F)finish my course and ^(G)the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to ^(H)testify solemnly of the gospel of ^(I)God’s grace.

²⁵ “And now behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about ^(J)preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face.

⁷ to those who by ^(A)perseverance in doing good seek ^(B)glory, honor, and ^(C)immortality, He will give ^(D)eternal life;
