GOD’S WORD Translation
32 So they began to spread lies among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored is one that devours those who live there. All the people we saw there are very tall. 33 We saw Nephilim there. (The descendants of Anak are Nephilim.) We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that’s how we must have looked to them.”

32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report(A) about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours(B) those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.(C) 33 We saw the Nephilim(D) there (the descendants of Anak(E) come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers(F) in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
