24 with Eliasaph, the son of Lael as chief of the fathers' house of the Gershonites. 25 And the (A)guard duty of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting involved (B)the tabernacle, (C)the tent with (D)its covering, (E)the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting, 26 (F)the hangings of the court, (G)the screen for the door of the court that is around the tabernacle and the altar, and (H)its cords—all the service connected with these.
27 To Kohath belonged the clan of the (I)Amramites and the clan of the Izharites and the clan of the Hebronites and the clan of the Uzzielites; these are the clans of the Kohathites. 28 According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were 8,600, keeping guard over the sanctuary. 29 The clans of the sons of Kohath were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle, 30 with (J)Elizaphan the son of Uzziel as chief of the fathers' house of the clans of the Kohathites. 31 And their guard duty involved (K)the ark, (L)the table, (M)the lampstand, (N)the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which the priests minister, and (O)the screen; all the service connected with these. 32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest was to be chief over the chiefs of the Levites, and to have oversight of those who kept guard over the sanctuary.
33 To Merari belonged the clan of the Mahlites and the clan of the Mushites: these are the clans of Merari. 34 Their listing according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward was 6,200. 35 And the chief of the fathers' house of the clans of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle. 36 (P)And the appointed guard duty of the sons of Merari involved the (Q)frames of the tabernacle, (R)the bars, (S)the pillars, the bases, and all their accessories; all the service connected with these; 37 also (T)the pillars around the court, with their bases and (U)pegs and (V)cords.
38 Those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrise, were Moses and Aaron and his sons, (W)guarding the sanctuary itself, to protect[a] the people of Israel. And any outsider who came near was to be put to death. 39 All those listed among the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron listed at the commandment of the Lord, by clans, all the males from a month old and upward, were (X)22,000.

He was appointed over those who were responsible(Y) for the care of the sanctuary.(Z)
33 To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites;(AA) these were the Merarite clans.(AB) 34 The number of all the males a month old or more(AC) who were counted was 6,200. 35 The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.(AD) 36 The Merarites were appointed(AE) to take care of the frames of the tabernacle,(AF) its crossbars,(AG) posts,(AH) bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use,(AI) 37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard(AJ) with their bases, tent pegs(AK) and ropes.
38 Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east(AL) of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the tent of meeting.(AM) They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary(AN) on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.(AO)
39 The total number of Levites counted(AP) at the Lord’s command by Moses and Aaron according to their clans, including every male a month old or more, was 22,000.(AQ)

25 The sons of (M)Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram, his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel also had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur. 29 The name of Abishur's wife was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled died childless. 31 The son[b] of Appaim: Ishi. Caleb Son of Hezron

Jerahmeel Son of Hezron
25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron:
Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem and[c] Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel:
Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
28 The sons of Onam:
Shammai and Jada.
The sons of Shammai:
Nadab and Abishur.
29 Abishur’s wife was named Abihail, who bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab:
Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children.
31 The son of Appaim:
Ishi, who was the father of Sheshan.
Sheshan was the father of Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother:
Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.

and (D)you have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,’
yet (E)you are but a man, and no god,
(F)though you make your heart like the heart of a god—
3 (G)you are indeed wiser (H)than (I)Daniel;
no secret is hidden from you;
4 by your wisdom and your understanding
(J)you have made wealth for yourself,
and have gathered gold and silver
into your treasuries;
5 by your great wisdom in your trade
you have increased your wealth,
and (K)your heart has become proud in your wealth—
6 therefore thus says the Lord God:
(L)Because you make your heart
like the heart of a god,
7 therefore, behold, I will bring (M)foreigners upon you,
the most ruthless of the nations;
and they shall draw their swords against (N)the beauty of your wisdom

“‘In the pride of your heart
you say, “I am a god;

But you are a mere mortal and not a god,
though you think you are as wise as a god.(D)
3 Are you wiser than Daniel[a]?(E)
Is no secret hidden from you?
4 By your wisdom and understanding
you have gained wealth for yourself
and amassed gold and silver
in your treasuries.(F)
5 By your great skill in trading(G)
you have increased your wealth,(H)
and because of your wealth
your heart has grown proud.(I)
6 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Because you think you are wise,
as wise as a god,
7 I am going to bring foreigners against you,

I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised,(A) Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.(B) 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law(C) have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.(D) 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.(E) 6 For in Christ Jesus(F) neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value.(G) The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.(H)
7 You were running a good race.(I) Who cut in on you(J) to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.(K) 9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.”(L) 10 I am confident(M) in the Lord that you will take no other view.(N) The one who is throwing you into confusion,(O) whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 11 Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted?(P) In that case the offense(Q) of the cross has been abolished. 12 As for those agitators,(R) I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
Life by the Spirit
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.(S) But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a];(T) rather, serve one another(U) humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b](V) 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
