14 And if a stranger is sojourning with you, or anyone is living permanently among you, and he wishes to offer a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he shall do as you do. 15 For the assembly, (A)there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the Lord. 16 One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”
17 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 18 (B)“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land to which I bring you 19 and when you eat of (C)the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the Lord. 20 (D)Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a (E)contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it. 21 (F)Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the Lord as a contribution throughout your generations.
Laws About Unintentional Sins
22 (G)“But if you sin unintentionally,[a] and do not observe all these commandments that the Lord has spoken to Moses, 23 all that the Lord has commanded you by Moses, from the day that the Lord gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations, 24 then if it was done unintentionally (H)without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord, (I)with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule, and (J)one male goat for a sin offering. 25 (K)And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord for their mistake. 26 And all the congregation of the people of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them, because the whole population was involved in the mistake.
27 (L)“If one person sins unintentionally, he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering. 28 (M)And the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who makes a mistake, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven. 29 (N)You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them. 30 (O)But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people. 31 Because he has (P)despised the word of the Lord and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”

17 The Lord said to Moses, 18 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land to which I am taking you(G) 19 and you eat the food of the land,(H) present a portion as an offering to the Lord.(I) 20 Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal(J) and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.(K) 21 Throughout the generations to come(L) you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.(M)
Offerings for Unintentional Sins
22 “‘Now if you as a community unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the Lord gave Moses(N)— 23 any of the Lord’s commands to you through him, from the day the Lord gave them and continuing through the generations to come(O)— 24 and if this is done unintentionally(P) without the community being aware of it,(Q) then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering(R) as an aroma pleasing to the Lord,(S) along with its prescribed grain offering(T) and drink offering,(U) and a male goat for a sin offering.[a](V) 25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven,(W) for it was not intentional(X) and they have presented to the Lord for their wrong a food offering(Y) and a sin offering.(Z) 26 The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.(AA)
27 “‘But if just one person sins unintentionally,(AB) that person must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.(AC) 28 The priest is to make atonement(AD) before the Lord for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, that person will be forgiven.(AE) 29 One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.(AF)
30 “‘But anyone who sins defiantly,(AG) whether native-born or foreigner,(AH) blasphemes the Lord(AI) and must be cut off from the people of Israel.(AJ) 31 Because they have despised(AK) the Lord’s word and broken his commands,(AL) they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.(AM)’”

David's Song of Thanks
8 (B)Oh give thanks to the Lord; (C)call upon his name;
(D)make known his deeds among the peoples!
9 Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
10 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
11 (E)Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!
12 (F)Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
(G)his miracles and the judgments he uttered,
13 O offspring of Israel his servant,
children of Jacob, his chosen ones!
14 He is the Lord our God;
(H)his judgments are in all the earth.
15 Remember his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,
16 the covenant (I)that he made with Abraham,
his sworn promise to Isaac,
17 which (J)he confirmed to Jacob as a statute,

27 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy are in his place.

bring an offering and come before him!
(U)Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;[a]
30 tremble before him, all the earth;
yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.

and let them say among the nations, (W)“The Lord reigns!”
32 (X)Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
let the field exult, and everything in it!
33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy
before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
34 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!

“Save us, O God of our salvation,
and gather and deliver us from among the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
and glory in your praise.

Worship Before the Ark
37 So David left Asaph and his brothers there (AB)before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister regularly before the ark (AC)as each day required, 38 and also (AD)Obed-edom and his[b] sixty-eight brothers, while (AE)Obed-edom, the son of Jeduthun, and (AF)Hosah were to be gatekeepers. 39 And he left (AG)Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord (AH)in the high place that was at Gibeon 40 to offer burnt offerings to the Lord (AI)on the altar of burnt offering (AJ)regularly morning and evening, to do all that is written in the Law of the Lord that he commanded Israel. 41 With them were (AK)Heman and Jeduthun (AL)and the rest of those chosen and (AM)expressly named to give thanks to the Lord, (AN)for his steadfast love endures forever. 42 Heman and Jeduthun had trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments (AO)for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to the gate.
43 (AP)Then all the people departed each to his house, and David went home to bless his household.

37 David left Asaph and his associates before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister there regularly, according to each day’s requirements.(AM) 38 He also left Obed-Edom(AN) and his sixty-eight associates to minister with them. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah,(AO) were gatekeepers.
39 David left Zadok(AP) the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the Lord at the high place in Gibeon(AQ) 40 to present burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of burnt offering regularly, morning and evening, in accordance with everything written in the Law(AR) of the Lord, which he had given Israel. 41 With them were Heman(AS) and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord, “for his love endures forever.” 42 Heman and Jeduthun were responsible for the sounding of the trumpets and cymbals and for the playing of the other instruments for sacred song.(AT) The sons of Jeduthun(AU) were stationed at the gate.
43 Then all the people left, each for their own home, and David returned home to bless his family.

The Temple's Chambers
42 Then he led me out into (A)the outer court, (B)toward the north, and he brought me to (C)the chambers that were opposite (D)the separate yard and opposite (E)the building on the north. 2 The length of the building whose door faced north was (F)a hundred cubits,[a] and (G)the breadth fifty cubits. 3 Facing (H)the twenty cubits that belonged to the inner court, and facing (I)the pavement that belonged to the outer court, was (J)gallery[b] against gallery in three stories. 4 And (K)before the chambers was a passage inward, ten cubits wide and (L)a hundred cubits long,[c] and (M)their doors were on the north. 5 Now the upper chambers were narrower, for the galleries took more away from them than from the lower and middle chambers of the building. 6 For they were in three stories, and they had no pillars like the pillars of the courts. Thus the upper chambers were set back from the ground more than the lower and the middle ones. 7 And (N)there was a wall outside parallel to the chambers, toward the outer court, opposite the chambers, (O)fifty cubits long. 8 For the chambers on the outer court were fifty cubits long, while those opposite (P)the nave[d] were (Q)a hundred cubits long. 9 Below these chambers was (R)an entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer court.
10 In the thickness of (S)the wall of the court, on the south[e] also, opposite (T)the yard and opposite (U)the building, there were (V)chambers 11 with (W)a passage in front of them. They were similar to the chambers on the north, of the same length and breadth, with the same exits[f] and arrangements and (X)doors, 12 as were the entrances of the chambers on the south. 13 Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers opposite (Z)the yard are the holy chambers, (AA)where the priests who approach the Lord (AB)shall eat the (AC)most holy offerings. There they shall put the most holy offerings—(AD)the grain offering, (AE)the sin offering, and (AF)the guilt offering—for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter the Holy Place, they shall not go out of it into the outer court (AG)without laying there the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. (AH)They shall put on other garments before they go near to that which is for the people.”
15 Now when he had finished measuring the interior of the temple area, he led me out by (AI)the gate that faced east, and measured the temple area all around. 16 He measured the east side with (AJ)the measuring reed, 500 cubits by the measuring reed all around. 17 He measured the north side, 500 cubits by the measuring reed all around. 18 He measured the south side, 500 cubits by the measuring reed. 19 Then he turned to the west side and measured, 500 cubits by the measuring reed. 20 He measured it on the four sides. The Rooms for the Priests
42 Then the man led me northward into the outer court and brought me to the rooms(A) opposite the temple courtyard(B) and opposite the outer wall on the north side.(C) 2 The building whose door faced north was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide.[a] 3 Both in the section twenty cubits[b] from the inner court and in the section opposite the pavement of the outer court, gallery(D) faced gallery at the three levels.(E) 4 In front of the rooms was an inner passageway ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits[c] long.[d] Their doors were on the north.(F) 5 Now the upper rooms were narrower, for the galleries took more space from them than from the rooms on the lower and middle floors of the building. 6 The rooms on the top floor had no pillars, as the courts had; so they were smaller in floor space than those on the lower and middle floors. 7 There was an outer wall parallel to the rooms and the outer court; it extended in front of the rooms for fifty cubits. 8 While the row of rooms on the side next to the outer court was fifty cubits long, the row on the side nearest the sanctuary was a hundred cubits long. 9 The lower rooms had an entrance(G) on the east side as one enters them from the outer court.
10 On the south side[e] along the length of the wall of the outer court, adjoining the temple courtyard(H) and opposite the outer wall, were rooms(I) 11 with a passageway in front of them. These were like the rooms on the north; they had the same length and width, with similar exits and dimensions. Similar to the doorways on the north 12 were the doorways of the rooms on the south. There was a doorway at the beginning of the passageway that was parallel to the corresponding wall extending eastward, by which one enters the rooms.
13 Then he said to me, “The north(J) and south rooms(K) facing the temple courtyard(L) are the priests’ rooms, where the priests who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will put the most holy offerings—the grain offerings,(M) the sin offerings[f](N) and the guilt offerings(O)—for the place is holy.(P) 14 Once the priests enter the holy precincts, they are not to go into the outer court until they leave behind the garments(Q) in which they minister, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they go near the places that are for the people.(R)”
15 When he had finished measuring what was inside the temple area, he led me out by the east gate(S) and measured the area all around: 16 He measured the east side with the measuring rod; it was five hundred cubits.[g][h] 17 He measured the north side; it was five hundred cubits[i] by the measuring rod. 18 He measured the south side; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod. 19 Then he turned to the west side and measured; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod. 20 So he measured(T) the area(U) on all four sides. It had a wall around it,(V) five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits wide,(W) to separate the holy from the common.(X)

For (N)the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see (O)the Son of Man coming in a cloud (P)with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and (Q)raise your heads, because (R)your redemption is drawing near.”

Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 (F)We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of (G)your faith in Christ Jesus and of (H)the love that you have for all the saints, 5 because of (I)the hope (J)laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in (K)the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed (L)in the whole world it is (M)bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you (N)heard it and understood (O)the grace of God in truth, 7 just as you learned it from (P)Epaphras our beloved (Q)fellow servant.[b] He is (R)a faithful minister of Christ on your[c] behalf 8 and has made known to us your (S)love in the Spirit.

2 To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ:
