Nehemiah 2:8-10

8 and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house which I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.
9 Then I came to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and gave them the king’s letters. Now the king had sent with me officers of the army and horsemen. 10 But when Sanbal′lat the Hor′onite and Tobi′ah the servant, the Ammonite, heard this, it displeased them greatly that some one had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

8 And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel(A) by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?” And because the gracious hand of my God was on me,(B) the king granted my requests.(C) 9 So I went to the governors of Trans-Euphrates and gave them the king’s letters. The king had also sent army officers and cavalry(D) with me.
10 When Sanballat(E) the Horonite and Tobiah(F) the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites.(G)
