Nehemiah 10:30-32
Good News Translation
30 (A)We will not intermarry with the foreigners living in our land.
31 (B)If foreigners bring grain or anything else to sell to us on the Sabbath or on any other holy day, we will not buy from them.
Every seventh year we will not farm the land, and we will cancel all debts.
32 (C)Every year we will each contribute one-eighth of an ounce of silver to help pay the expenses of the Temple.

30 “We promise not to give our daughters in marriage to the peoples around us or take their daughters for our sons.(A)
31 “When the neighboring peoples bring merchandise or grain to sell on the Sabbath,(B) we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will forgo working the land(C) and will cancel all debts.(D)
32 “We assume the responsibility for carrying out the commands to give a third of a shekel[a] each year for the service of the house of our God:
