Nahum 1:7-8

English Standard Version

⁷^(A)The Lord is good,
    ^(B)a stronghold in the day of trouble;
^(C)he knows those who take refuge in him.
⁸    But ^(D)with an overflowing flood
he will make a complete end of the adversaries,^[a]
    and ^(E)will pursue his enemies into darkness.
