²⁵ At that season Jesus answered and said, I ^[a]thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: ²⁶ yea, Father, ^[b]for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

³⁹ And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.

⁴² Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.

³⁶ And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; remove this cup from me: howbeit not what I will, but what thou wilt.

²¹ In that same hour he rejoiced ^[a]in the Holy Spirit, and said, I ^[b]thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; ^[c]for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

⁴² saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

^34 [a]And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.

^46 [a]And Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the ghost.

⁴¹ So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me. ⁴² And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me.

²⁸ Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
