²⁹ “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel ³⁰ will fail to receive a hundred times as much^(A) in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come^(B) eternal life.^(C)

²² For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.^{(A) 23} But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;^(B) then, when he comes,^(C) those who belong to him.^{(D) 24} Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom^(E) to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.^{(F) 25} For he must reign^(G) until he has put all his enemies under his feet.^{(H) 26} The last enemy to be destroyed is death.^(I)

⁵⁴ When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”^[a](A)

¹⁰ and to wait for his Son from heaven,^(A) whom he raised from the dead^(B)—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.^(C)

¹⁰ but it has now been revealed^(A) through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus,^(B) who has destroyed death^(C) and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
