Micah 3:10-12
New English Translation
Micah 3:10-12
New English Translation
10 You[a] build Zion through bloody crimes,[b]
Jerusalem through unjust violence.
11 Her[c] leaders take bribes when they decide legal cases,[d]
her priests proclaim rulings for profit,
and her prophets read omens for pay.
Yet they claim to trust[e] the Lord and say,
“The Lord is among us.[f]
Disaster will not overtake[g] us!”
12 Therefore, because of you,[h] Zion will be plowed up like[i] a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins,
and the Temple Mount[j] will become a hill overgrown with brush![k]
