¹⁴ and I will root out your ^(A)Asherah images from among you
    ^(B)and destroy your cities.

^10 (A)For the fortified city is solitary,
    a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness;
there the calf grazes;
    there it lies down and strips its branches.

¹⁴ For ^(A)Israel has forgotten ^(B)his Maker
    and ^(C)built palaces,
and ^(D)Judah has multiplied fortified cities;
    so ^(E)I will send a fire upon his cities,
    and it shall devour her strongholds.
