²² Many will say to me on that day,^(A) ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’^(B)

²² But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.^(A)

²⁴ But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”^(A)

³⁶ But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

³¹ For he has set a day when he will judge^(A) the world with justice^(B) by the man he has appointed.^(C) He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”^(D)

⁴ But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness^(A) so that this day should surprise you like a thief.^(B)

²⁵ not giving up meeting together,^(A) as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another^(B)—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.^(C)

⁹ if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials^(A) and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.^(B)

⁷ By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire,^(A) being kept for the day of judgment^(B) and destruction of the ungodly.

¹⁷ This is how love is made complete^(A) among us so that we will have confidence^(B) on the day of judgment:^(C) In this world we are like Jesus.
