^44 [a]But I say to you, ^(A)love your enemies, bless those who curse you, ^(B)do good to those who hate you, and pray ^(C)for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, ⁴⁵ that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for ^(D)He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

^17 (A)Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, ^(B)gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with ^(C)food and gladness.”

^24 (A)God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is ^(B)Lord of heaven and earth, ^(C)does not dwell in temples made with hands. ²⁵ Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He ^(D)gives to all life, breath, and all things.
