The Beatitudes^(A)

5 And seeing the multitudes, ^(B)He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. ² Then He opened His mouth and ^(C)taught them, saying:

²⁸ And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that ^(A)the people were astonished at His teaching, ^29 (B)for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth^(A)

⁵³ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, that He departed from there. ^54 (B)When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?

³⁰ Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it. ^31 (A)For He taught His disciples and said to them, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will ^(B)kill Him. And after He is killed, He will ^(C)rise the third day.”

Marriage and Divorce^(A)

10 Then ^(B)He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple^(A)

^15 (B)So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold ^(C)doves. ¹⁶ And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. ¹⁷ Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ^(D)‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ^(E)‘den of thieves.’ ”
