16 Now when evening came, they brought to Him many (A)who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and (B)healed all who were ill. 17 This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled: “(C)He Himself took our illnesses and [a]carried away our diseases.”

16 When it was evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to him. He drove out the spirits with a word,[a] and healed all who were sick.[b] 17 In this way what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled:[c]
“He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.”[d]
