8 Once more the Devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, along with their splendor. 9 He told Jesus,[a] “I will give you all these things if you will bow down and worship me!”
10 Then Jesus told him, “Go away,[b] Satan! Because it is written,
‘You must worship the Lord your God
and serve only him.’”[c]
