Matthew 4:5-7

5 Then the devil took Him up into the Holy City and set Him on a pinnacle of the Temple,
6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down. For it is written that ‘He will give His angels charge over you. And they shall lift you up with their hands, lest at any time you should dash your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(A) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,”(B) he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[a]”(C)
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[b]”(D)
