⁴And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

New International Version

⁴The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

¹¹Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

¹¹While the women were on their way, some of the guards^(A) went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
