23 (A)Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For (B)false christs and (C)false prophets will arise and (D)perform great signs and wonders, (E)so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, (F)I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, (G)he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 (H)For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be (I)the coming of the Son of Man.

23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(A) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(B) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning(C) that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming(D) of the Son of Man.(E)
