¹⁶ So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”

⁸ Heal the sick, ^[a]cleanse the lepers, ^[b]raise the dead, cast out demons. ^(A)Freely you have received, freely give.

³² But they ^(A)did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

^33 (C)Then He came to Capernaum. And when He was in the house He asked them, “What was it you ^[a]disputed among yourselves on the road?” ³⁴ But they kept silent, for on the road they had ^(D)disputed among themselves who would be the ^(E)greatest. ³⁵ And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, ^(F)“If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
