⁸ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

² Then He sent them out [on a brief journey] to preach ^[a]the kingdom of God and to perform healing.^(A)

⁹ and heal those in it who are sick [authenticating your message], and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

¹⁹ Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on ^[a]serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.

¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
