Matthew 1:21

²¹She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,^[a]^(A) because he will save his people from their sins.”^(B)

Matthew 1:21 Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means the Lord saves.

¹¹Jesus is

“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’^[a]^(A)

¹²Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”^(B)

¹¹This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

¹²Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
