²⁶ When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is ^(A)a ghost!” And they cried out ^[a]in fear. ²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “^(B)Take courage, ^[b]it is I; ^(C)do not be afraid.”

²⁸ Peter responded and said to Him, “Lord, if ^[c]it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” ²⁹ And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

⁵⁰ But Jesus said to him, “^(A)Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and arrested Him.

⁵¹ And behold, ^(B)one of those who were with Jesus ^[a]reached and drew his ^(C)sword, and struck the ^(D)slave of the high priest and ^[b]cut off his ear.
