4 Bere a ogu so rekyerɛkyerɛ no, nnipadɔm san betwaa ne ho hyiae wɔ mpoano hɔ. Eyi nti, ɔkɔtenaa ɔkorow mu toaa ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no so. 2 Na sɛnea ɔyɛ daa no, ɔnam mmebu so kasa kyerɛɛ wɔn. Baako a ɔkae ne sɛ,
3 “Da bi, okuafo bi kɔɔ n’afum koguu aba. Ogu so regu aba no no, 4 aba no bi guu kwankyɛn maa nnomaa bɛsosɔw ne nyinaa dii. 5 Ebi nso koguu ɔbotan bi so. Nanso, dɔte a ɛwɔ so no nnɔɔso. 6 Ankyɛ na efifii, nanso esiane sɛ dɔte a ɛwɔ ɔbotan no so no nnɔɔso no nti, owia bɔɔ so no, ne nyinaa hyewee. 7 Aba no bi nso guu nsɔe mu, maa nsɔe no kyekyeree no enti antumi ansow aba. 8 Aba no bi guu asase pa mu, maa ebi nyin sow mmɔho aduasa, ebi aduosia, ɛnna afoforo nso mmɔho ɔha! 9 Sɛ mowɔ aso a, muntie!”
10 Akyiri yi a ɛkaa ɔne Dumien no ne asuafo afoforo bi no, wobisaa no se, “Asɛm a wokae no, ase ne dɛn?”
11 Obuaa wɔn se, “Mo de, wɔada Onyankopɔn ahenni ho ahintasɛm adi akyerɛ mo. Nanso, afoforo de, wɔka no abebu mu na ɛkyerɛ wɔn. 12 Esiane saa nti, ‘wohu, na wɔte nanso wɔrente nea wɔte no ase, na wɔrennan mma Onyankopɔn nkyɛn, na wɔremfa wɔn bɔne nso nkyɛ wɔn’. 13 Na sɛ moante saa bɛ yi ase a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na moate mmɛ ahorow a merebebu no ase?
Yesu kyerɛ bɛ no ase
14 “Okuafo a mekaa ne ho asɛm no gyina hɔ ma obiara a ɔde Onyankopɔn asɛm no kɔma afoforo. Ɔregu aba pa no wɔ wɔn mu. 15 Aba a eguu kwankyɛn no gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔte Onyankopɔn asɛm, nanso sɛ wɔte asɛm no a, ntɛm so, ɔbonsam ba wɔn nkyɛn, na wɔn werɛ fi nea wɔate no nyinaa. 16 Aba a eguu ɔbotan so no gyina hɔ ma nnipa a wɔde anigye tie asɛm no. 17 Nanso, wɔte sɛ aba a afifi foforo a ne ntini nkɔ fam. Mfitiase no, wɔkɔ so fɛfɛɛfɛ, nanso sɛ ɛba sɛ asɛm no nti, ɔtaa anaa amanehunu bi to wɔn pɛ, na wɔapa abaw.
18 “Aba a eguu nsɔe mu no nso gyina hɔ ma nnipa a wɔte Asɛmpa no, 19 nanso ɛnkyɛ koraa na wiase yi mu afɛfɛde ne ahonyade ne ɔbra yi mu dadwene, nnaadaa ne nneɛma bi ho akɔnnɔ abɛhyɛ wɔn koma mu. Eyi nti, asɛm no ntumi nsow aba biara.
20 “Aba a eguu asase pa mu no gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔte Onyankopɔn asɛm no, na wɔsow aba bebree. Nnipa no bi sow mmɔho aduasa. Ebi nso sow aduosia, na afoforo nso sow ɔha.”
Kanea ho mfaso
21 Afei Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Moahu obi a ɔsɔ kanea na ɔde hyɛ mpa ase anaasɛ ɔde ahina butuw so? Dabida. Wɔrenhu kanea no hyerɛn anaa wɔrentumi mfa nyɛ hwee. Wɔde kanea si petee mu na ahyerɛn ma ɛho aba mfaso.
22 “Da bi, nea ahintaw saa bere yi no nyinaa bɛda adi. 23 Nea ɔwɔ aso a obetie no, ma ontie. 24 Momfa asɛm a mote no nyɛ adwuma. Moyɛ eyi ansa a na mobɛte nea meka kyerɛ mo no ase. 25 Nea ɔwɔ biribi no, wɔbɛma no bi aka ho; nea onni ahe bi no, kakraa a ɔwɔ no mpo, wobegye afi ne nsam.”
Aba a ɛno ankasa fifi
26 Yesu san buu bɛ foforo faa Onyankopɔn ahenni no ho se, “Ɛte sɛ okuafo bi a okoduaa aburow wɔ n’afum.
27 “Ogyaw n’aburowfuw no hɔ kɔe a wanhwɛ, nanso aburow no nyinyinnii a onnim ɔkwan a ɛnam so nyinii. 28 Asase no na ɛmaa aburow no fifii, yii ahaban, turuu mma, nyinii, hoae, 29 maa okuafo no faa ne dade bebuu aburow no.”
Onyaa aba ho bɛ
30 Yesu bisae se, “Dɛn ho na mede ɔsoro ahenni no bɛto? Dɛn na menka mfa nkyerɛkyerɛ mu? 31 Ɛte sɛ onyaa aba ketewaa bi. 32 Ɛwom, ɛyɛ aba ketewaa bi de, nanso sɛ enyin a, ɛka nnutan akɛse no ho. Eyiyi abaa atenten ma nnomaa yɛ wɔn birebuw wɔ so.”
33 Abebu a ɛtete sɛ eyinom na ɔde kaa asɛm kyerɛɛ wɔn. 34 Ɔnam abebu so na ɔkasa kyerɛɛ wɔn a wobetiee no no nyinaa, na sɛ ɛka ɔne n’asuafo no nko a, ɔkyerɛ wɔn ne nyinaa ase.
Yesu brɛ ahum ase
35 Eduu anwummere no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ n’asuafo no se, “Momma yentwa nkɔ asuogya nohɔ.” 36 Ɔkaa saa no, wogyaw nnipadɔm no hɔ na ɔne wɔn kɔe a akorow foforo di wɔn akyi. 37 Prɛko pɛ, ahum kɛse bi tui, maa asorɔkye bu bɛkɛtaa ɔkorow no so, ma ɛyɛɛ sɛ ɛremem. 38 Saa bere no, na Yesu wɔ ɔkorow no to de ne ti ato sumii so ada. Asuafo no de ahopopo ne nteɛteɛm konyanee no kae se, “Kyerɛkyerɛfo, yɛreyɛ amem yi, ɛmfa wo ho?”
39 Ɔsɔre teɛteɛɛ mframa no ka kyerɛɛ po no se, “Yɛ komm!” Mframa no gyaee, na po no yɛɛ dinn!
40 Yesu bisaa wɔn se, “Adɛn na moyɛ ahufo saa? Adɛn, munnye me nni anaa?”
41 Na wɔn ho dwiriw wɔn yiye, bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Onipa bɛn ni a mframa ne po mpo tie no yi?”

The Parable of the Sower(A)(B)
4 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake.(C) The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables,(D) and in his teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.(E) 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”(F)
9 Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”(G)
10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. 11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God(H) has been given to you. But to those on the outside(I) everything is said in parables 12 so that,
“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’[a]”(J)
13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? 14 The farmer sows the word.(K) 15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan(L) comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. 16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth(M) and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. 20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”
A Lamp on a Stand
21 He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?(N) 22 For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.(O) 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”(P)
24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.(Q) 25 Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”(R)
The Parable of the Growing Seed
26 He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like.(S) A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”(T)
The Parable of the Mustard Seed(U)
30 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like,(V) or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand.(W) 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable.(X) But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.
Jesus Calms the Storm(Y)
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat.(Z) There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”(AA)
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
