Preaching in Galilee^(A)

³⁵ Now ^(B)in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a ^[a]solitary place; and there He ^(C)prayed. ³⁶ And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. ³⁷ When they found Him, they said to Him, ^(D)“Everyone ^(E)is looking for You.”

³⁸ But He said to them, ^(F)“Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because ^(G)for this purpose I have come forth.”

Jesus Heals a Great Multitude^(A)

²³ And Jesus went about all Galilee, ^(B)teaching in their synagogues, preaching ^(C)the gospel of the kingdom, ^(D)and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. ²⁴ Then ^[a]His fame went throughout all Syria; and they ^(E)brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. ^25 (F)Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from ^[b]Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

Jesus Cleanses a Leper^(A)

^12 (B)And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of ^(C)leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and ^[a]implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

⁴¹ Then Jesus, moved with ^(A)compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” ⁴² As soon as He had spoken, ^(B)immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. ⁴³ And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once, ⁴⁴ and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things ^(C)which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

^45 (D)However, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; ^(E)and they came to Him from every direction.

¹⁵ However, ^(A)the report went around concerning Him all the more; and ^(B)great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. ^16 (C)So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and ^(D)prayed.
