Beware of the Scribes(A)

38 Then (B)He said to them in His teaching, (C)“Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, (D)love greetings in the marketplaces, 39 the (E)best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, 40 (F)who devour widows’ houses, and [a]for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

The Widow’s Two Mites(G)

41 (H)Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money (I)into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two [b]mites, which make a [c]quadrans. 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that (J)this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, (K)her whole livelihood.”

Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple(L)

13 Then (M)as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? (N)Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
