⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was ^(A)Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

³² He will be great and will be called the Son of ^(A)the Most High. And the Lord God ^(B)will give to him the throne of ^(C)his father David,

²⁹ “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about ^(A)the patriarch David ^(B)that he both died and ^(C)was buried, and ^(D)his tomb is with us to this day. ^30 (E)Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that ^(F)God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,

⁵ And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, ^(A)the Lion ^(B)of the tribe of Judah, ^(C)the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

^16 (A)“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things ^(B)for the churches. I am ^(C)the root and ^(D)the descendant of David, ^(E)the bright morning star.”
