²⁹ As soon as they left the synagogue,^(C) they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. ³⁰ Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.

³⁸ Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her.

⁴ Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone.^(A) But go, show yourself to the priest^(B) and offer the gift Moses commanded,^(C) as a testimony to them.”
