²³ “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”^(A)

²⁴ Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

⁴ Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: ⁵ The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy^[a] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.^{(A) 6} Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”^(B)

³⁰ Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.^{(A) 31} The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.^(B)

²² So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy^[a] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.^{(A) 23} Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
