¹⁵ But others said, “It is Elijah.” And others said, “It is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”^(A)

³³ Yet today, tomorrow, and the next day I must be on my way, because it is impossible for a prophet to be killed outside of Jerusalem.’

¹⁴ When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, “This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.”^(A)

Division among the People

⁴⁰ When they heard these words, some in the crowd said, “This is really the prophet.”
